Arriving at the base you will be greeted by the happy barking and howling of our 30+ Alaska Husky! Before setting off on our adventure we will make sure you are properly dressed according to the day’s temperature and weather. If not, we will provide you with a winter-insulated suit and boots, hats and mittens if needed. We recommend wearing a base layer like a merino wool long sleeved shirt and leggings (long underwear), then add a mid-layer like a wool or fleece sweater and pants. On top, add a wind-resistant parka/jacket and snow/ski pants. Once everyone is dressed, we will head outside where our staff will show you how to drive the sled. If the weather is good, you are welcome to join us in harnessing and preparing the dog teams. You will be two people on each sled, one starts as driver and the other as a passenger, we will stop halfway through and help you switch who is the driver and passenger. We will also assist you in taking photos of you and your dog team.

After 1-2 hours* of dogsled adventure we will return to our base where you are welcome to assist us in taking off harnesses and guiding the dogs back to their doghouse. Our dogs are very well socialized, and they love cuddles almost more than they love running! When everyone is ready to go back inside, we will head inside our home where hot drinks (coffee/hot chocolate/tea) and light snacks will be served. You are welcome to bring your own lunch if you want to. Our staff will entertain you with personal sled stories and is happy to answer any questions you may have about our dogs, this area or Norway in general. After the dogs have had some time to settle down from their run, staff will feed the dogs before our driver transports you back to Tromsø city. *Sled time duration varies with snow and weather conditions, safety first!
